Memory is not perfect, photography is not perfect, not even nature is perfect. We are not interested in perfection, we seek the beauty of imperfection. This is not a perfect story, this is a beautiful story.
We are in Villa Las Mariasan amazing classic house with beautiful exteriors. It is located in the province of Granada (Andalusia, Spain) in a rural environment where olive groves are the emblem. The whole team moved there with great enthusiasm and a vision: to give life to a unique bridal style, discover this new location and tell a story...
Lucia, the bride, gets ready in one of the villa's suites. Her hair and MUA team creates a subtle look that highlights her natural beauty. Her hairstyle is a polished updo that mixes the sobriety of the classic with a contemporary twist.
Exclusive jewels perfectly accompany this timeless look.
Lucia tries on several of the elegant handmade shoes. The pink velvet model is the chosen one, it complements and brings a touch of original color to a unique bride.
The handmade dress is a groundbreaking bet reminiscent of the high culture of the 50s. A design with a slim and minimalist silhouette, long train and spectacular sleeves. Large organic volumes and transparencies frame Lucía's features and tell us about an ethereal bride with character, beautiful and with a lot of personality.
The main door of the house opens onto a spacious hall in which the protagonist is a magnificent spiral staircase.
The bride walks through it to get to a decorated table. Above it a floral lamp seems to levitate weightlessly. The centerpiece is also surprising; inspired by Japanese floral art, a glass dome treasures something of great value: the fleeting beauty of flowers. The decoration is naturalistic, simple, honest.
The rest of the elements on the table coexist in harmony with this environment of subtlety and naturalness: under plates, plates, cutlery, glassware, table linen ... Even the ghost chairs, fit perfectly into our microcosm of beauty.
In these moments the sun gives us its natural light.
After exploring the interiors of the house and in a different outfit, Lucía went outdoors to discover the garden. This second dress also plays with volumes and transparencies, but this time the silhouette is completely different: layers and layers of delicate tulle build a flowy and full of movement skirt.
Pablo captures natural, carefree and unrepeatable moments. Photographs that allow us to see movement, blurred, perhaps imperfect, but surely vivid, real, deeply beautiful.
This ethereal and romantic bride walks through the beautiful exteriors of the place. Every corner tells a story worthy of being discovered.
By the pool, the spring rain surprises us. With alternative footwear, Lucia is beyond ready to continue her walk. A bride always shines with her own light.
Later on, with her hair down and under an already clear sky, she poses next to the facade of the old family home. A whitewashed Andalusian house covered by a lush vine. This little story ends with this image that tells us about the passage of time and the importance of knowing and appreciating the past. An imperfectly beautiful story.
Thanks to Pablo Castro for capturing like no one else the authenticity and beauty of this unique proposal. Thanks to all the collaborators for making this vision real.
